About Us

Illumination Medical, Inc. is a privately held California corporation located in Sacramento, California. The company was founded in 2003 by David J. Gibson, M.D. and Lilli DuVal.

Dr Gibson, in addition to having practiced medicine for over 20 years, has held academic appointments in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and Immunology at five separate Medical Schools. He serves on multiple committees for the California Medical Association. He has been the president of four different health insurance companies and has served as the CEO for one of the largest medical groups in the United States.

Lilli DuVal is a managed care consultant specializing in self-insured benefit programs. She has served in executive level positions within the health care and pharmacy benefit management industries for twenty-four years. She has worked with self-insured clients across the United States in developing innovative approaches in benefit plan design.
